Tarun Alo – Youth for Peace and Positive Politics in Bangladesh
🎯Goal:
To build a generation of politically conscious, peaceful, and responsible young citizens who are free from violence and negative cultural influences, and committed to democratic and ethical values.
🧭 Specific Objectives:
- Enhance young people’s awareness of democracy, civic rights, and social responsibilities.
- Promote positive values that discourage violence, hate speech, and harmful cultural practices.
- Organize leadership development training in schools, colleges, universities, and community levels.
- Foster tolerance, empathy, and mutual respect through cultural and social activities.
- Encourage youth participation in inclusive and participatory decision-making processes.
👥 Target Groups:
Youth and students aged 15–30 years.
Local teachers, community organizers, and parents.
Members of youth clubs and student organizations.

- Leadership & Civic Education Training
Capacity-building sessions on democratic values, non-violent leadership, and civic responsibilities. - Peace Clubs Formation in Schools/Colleges
Establishment of “Peace Clubs” in educational institutions with regular meetings and peer-led initiatives. - Awareness Campaigns & Street Drama
Public awareness campaigns, posters, videos, and street dramas promoting peace and countering negative culture. - Youth Dialogue & Debate Programs
Dialogue sessions, debates, and open discussions to promote tolerance and critical thinking among youth. - Social Media Campaign & Short Film Contest
Digital campaigns and creative competitions under the theme “Positive Politics, Peaceful Mind.” - Cultural Programs & Art Exhibitions
Music, drama, and art exhibitions to cultivate empathy, peace, and human values through creative expression.
📊Expected Outcomes:
- Reduction of violence and divisive mindsets among youth.
- Increased tolerance and rational understanding of political and social issues.
- Greater youth participation in community leadership and social development.
- Promotion of a peaceful, inclusive environment in schools and local communities.

- 6 months (Pilot Phase) — with the potential to extend for 2 years based on success and impact.
